Summer swimming!

This is your first summer on the swim team! You are 5 years old (so swimming with the 6 and under group). You swim for Jomewood Parks and Rec and you LOVE it! Incidentally, you are also very good at it! For being the younger year in your age group you certainly hold your own.

At your very first swim meet you were a "heat winner" in the 25 free. You also swam the 25 back and a relay. You had such a great time, and appear to have been instantly hooked!

At your second swimmeet, you got that competitive edge and swam hard! You got 5th in backstroke and 7th in free! You also swam breaststroke and got 4th but were DQ'd because you forgot to breath every time! You know your old mom used to swim breaststroke, so there is plenty of time for us to work on it!

Pictures from meet #2

We are all very proud of you! Your fan club is at every meet -- Mom, Joe, Gate, Dad, LeLe, Big D, AA, Uncle Will.

Early Arts 4K Graduation

This is your 4K Early Arts class. You loved your friends and Ms. Lisa and had a simply wonderful year. We could not have asked for a happier place to spend your pre-school years.

The best big sister.

Linden, You are the best big sister that ever was. Gate joined us not to long ago and you have been the best help to me. I am really proud of you. I know it means that sometimes you and I get less time. I think it's been harder on you than you'll admit. But that's just your way. You make things easier for others. But i hope you know how much i love you. Gate man takes a lot of time...it's true right now. But it doesn't mean we love YOU any less. I don't know whaton earth this family would be like with out you. Not much of anything,  I suppose!

4k Graduation -Early Arts

My girl. It's hard to belive but last Friday you graduated from sweet Early Arts (where your mom also went to school). Next stop,  kindergarden. It's hard to believe and hard on mom's heart to see you growing up. That said it's also such a joy to watch you grow into the smart, mature, independent, kind little lady that you are. Here are my favorite things about you at 5.5 years:

- your tender heart.you love your family and friends and want to make is happy.you are very unselfish in that way, and very quick to worry about others above yourself and make us all smile. Your friends just love you - you are very well liked at school and probably have more play dates than anyone. Your favorite friends are Eli, Hans, Beckett, Evelyn

- you are happy.all the time.happy and easy going. One of the things i love about you is your positive attitude and ability to "shake it off" when things don't go your way. I trust you and respect you. That's something you should be very proud of.

- you are smart.like really smart. You're the top of the pack, always a step ahead. I can't wait to watch that mind blossom next year. You love books and are on the ve
rge of reading yourself. I cannot wait for that world to open up for you. Hopefully it's a life long passion for you.

Here are a few special pictures and videos from your graduation.
