1/3 down, a whole lotta fun to go

Well Baby W sure is a lot of fun! Today we had our end of first-tri appointment and the little one was quite a ham for the cameras. S/he wiggled and jived and even stuck a hand up to say hello. What a ham! Today, it feels really real. I can't believe how much the guy/gal has grown! It was amazing to see little sweet pouty lips, a button nose and 5 fingers and toes. I can't believe I'll get to kiss that sweet face soon. It was a miracle, and I am so happy to have "passed" this first stage. James and I have decided to forgo any of the screening. We decided if we have a special needs baby, knowing sooner or later wont make a difference to us, we will love it the same. So, we aren't going to find out risks/odds... we'd rather just be happy and in love with what we have. Next big appointment is week 20 where we will find out if we are team BLUE or PINK. Can hardly wait. Next big day, tomorrow, we close on our new home.

We plan to pull a mattress on to the floor and spend the night. First night in the new home, exciting :)

I'll leave you with pictures of our lovely baby bear....

Allll my bags are packed (er, almost) I'm ready to go...

James, I and the plum move into our new abode on Wednesday. Super excited about it. I can't wait for the following: A dishwasher, double sinks, a fenced in backyard for our little doggies, a YARD for flowers and such, a TV above the fireplace, ceiling fans, our very own washer and dryer. So, au revior to our cute little gazebo. You were a lot of fun for two single kids on the city. Helloooo house.

If possible I am even more excited for Baby W's cameo #4! We have our 12-week appt tomorrow and I am tres tres excited. I am hoping you'll give us a wave, little bean but no pressure.

Week of firsts and fun!!

I'll leave you with this lovely parting shot taking while visiting some of our nearest and dearest in ATL.... What a sweet life I live!!

To the Point.

Since I have been so horrible at posting on a regular basis I've decide to keep things short and sweet, maybe I'll be encouraged to write more. The little plum is doing well. He/She is about 2.5 inches and the size of, you guessed it, a large plum. We went to the doctor yesterday because of some bleeding (nothing major) and one we saw the little guy/gal bouncing around and WAVING at us, we breathed a huge sigh of relief. All is well! We have a living, growing baby in there. We go back next week for our 12 week ultrasound and after that we are out of the first trimester. The scary part will be over and our little one will be here to stay. I absolutely can.not.wait for the JOYS that next week brings. Tuesday the appointment, and Wednesday we close on the house! Stay tuned for more pictures .... baby, house and maybe just maybe a belly (because it sure is growing!!!!)

Cheese Please!!!

Today James and I went for our 8 week ultrasound and appointment. Below is a picture of our perfect gummy bear(as they called him/her today at our appointment)!!

I am measuring 8w1d. Based on the scan the due date showed 10/11/10 but she kept us at 10/13/10 anyway.

The little guy/gal had a strong heartbeat of 167 BPM and even wiggled its "rump" and leg for us - showing positive brain activity. It was so amazing to actually see arms and legs. It finally feels real.

Here you go....

You know that ">M&Ms commercial where the M&M's run into Santa?.. and they exclaim: "He does exist!" to which he says "They do exist!" that is exactly how I feel. There is a baby growing inside me and I am going to be a mom. Is this life wonderful or what?
