Growing up before my eyes

It has been a little while my girl. You are 8 now and so full of life! You’re happy and laid back personality persists (despite acquiring 3 siblings in 3 years!!) You are excelling at school - especially reading on a 4th grade level - and you’ve been the model student. You have lots of friends (Maddie and Maggie in your neighborhood) and always are surrounded by friends at the lunch table when I come to visit you. You’ve enjoyed sports a lot this year!! Basketball and Lacrosee especially, but you also swim and twirl (just so so on that last one). We also tried Brownies for the first time and I think you’re having fun with that. You have a dwarf hamster named Hammie Jr. (JJ) that you take good care of. You still love animals and they love you too. You will forever be little cats favorite!!

You pack your own lunch for school, and are generally very responsible with your school work. You have that rare quality of wanting and striving to do well without it stressing you out!

You love: playing in the neighborhood, savages cookies, tomato soup, sun chips, and gift cards ;$

You’re having a great year and we all love you so. Three words to describe you are happy, dependable, smart. Here are a few pictures of what’s going on in life.

Best big sister

Lin, You are the BEST big sister ever. I hope we tell you that enough. I hope you know how much Gate adores you. You are most certainly his favorite person and I am sure Mac will soon follow suit. As is your personality, you've taken sisterhood with grace and your easygoing personality. Thank you for being such a help to us. We all love you!!

Another 6 and under swimming summer

You are loving swimming again for HPR thid summer and you are really good! You like free the best but regularly place and score in the top 3 in free, breast, and back. You made your senior county times in free and back. No more guppy meet for you! Here you are cleaning up....

First and last day of Kindergarten (2016-2017)

My how you've grown! Physically,  mentally, in every way. Youre getting so big! You did great this year. You loved your teacher Mrs. Thomas, and you loved reading. Your favorite friend was Julia. Though you got along with everyone, mostly the guys. Ha. You say your favorite classes are lunch and recess. You got the highest marks across the board and are reading at a first grade level.

Look how you've grown!

Summer swimming!

This is your first summer on the swim team! You are 5 years old (so swimming with the 6 and under group). You swim for Jomewood Parks and Rec and you LOVE it! Incidentally, you are also very good at it! For being the younger year in your age group you certainly hold your own.

At your very first swim meet you were a "heat winner" in the 25 free. You also swam the 25 back and a relay. You had such a great time, and appear to have been instantly hooked!

At your second swimmeet, you got that competitive edge and swam hard! You got 5th in backstroke and 7th in free! You also swam breaststroke and got 4th but were DQ'd because you forgot to breath every time! You know your old mom used to swim breaststroke, so there is plenty of time for us to work on it!

Early Arts 4K Graduation

This is your 4K Early Arts class. You loved your friends and Ms. Lisa and had a simply wonderful year. We could not have asked for a happier place to spend your pre-school years.
